The Bedale Hunt Tumblers' Club is both a fund raising activity for the Hunt and a chance to celebrate those hardy souls whose day is clearly incomplete without an unscheduled dismount.
'Nimrod' said, the fences in the Bedale, with the exception of the 'stells' or brooks, are such as do not so much put to the test the spring and power of a hunter, it is the country in which men and women who ride quickly over it must get falls!
The Trophy is awarded to the winner at the End of Season Dinner, the person who has had the most number of falls during the season.
Fundraising comes in the form of fines for tumbling; the fine for each tumble is £5.00
